In the 17th Century both boys and girls were sent to dame-schools at an early age. The girls were not normally taught much book learning, but were taught how for a good housewife. Then along came the twentieth Century. Ladies went to highschool and university. They began to compete with men for jobs. Public record information found not easy to compete with at first was the particular wage design. Women doing equal work to men received considerably less wages. The equal parity in other areas of life for women had still not occurred. Men were still the superior beings, previously professional regions of life.
However, despite the fact that young women were failing to get equal wage parity to men, many still received a good income. In which scenario created a new fashion trend. The laddette fashion trend.
